Co-founded in October 2024 by Pierre Veya and Olivier Wurlod, SwissPowerShift’s primary mission is to cover the latest developments in ecological transition, climate policy, and energy matters. Particular emphasis is placed on technological innovation and sustainable finance.

At the end of 2024, just weeks after its launch, SwissPowerShift announced the sad passing of Pierre Veya, who died following a sudden and aggressive illness.
The editorial team is led by Olivier Wurlod, an experienced journalist with a long-standing career in the field.
Since its launch, the platform has been supported by the FIFEL foundation. Founded in 1992 by French-speaking Swiss electrical utilities and public authorities, the foundation’s mission has always been to raise public awareness and understanding of energy-related issues.
