"Cutting useful subsidies while showing blind confidence in immature technologies are two sides of the same inertia," warns Jean-Yves Pidoux, the former director of the SIL.
Published for the first time by the AES, this tool dedicated to the security of the electricity supply paints a potentially critical picture of the country's situation within a quarter of a century.
"Many regulatory measures compromise the financial health of DSOs, thereby reducing their ability to invest in renewable energy and the energy transition," explains Christian Petit, former CEO of Romande Energie and founder of the management consulting firm Advisum Consulte.
"Phasing out fossil fuels is essential, and that will not be possible without them. Their deployment must, however, be carried out sensibly," explains Pierre Cormon, journalist at the FER Geneva.
